CYFE – Center for Young and Family Enterprise aims to achieve excellence in research on family businesses and young entrepreneurs, by:

  • Contributing to the development of entrepreneurship and family business theories that are relevant to practice;
  • Enhancing the understanding of family businesses, start-ups, and entrepreneurship at the international level.

The Center combines academic rigor and relevance with the pragmatism of the industrial and entrepreneurial world.

Within the entrepreneurship and family business fields, the Center aims to carry out a series of initiatives based on the following guidelines:

  • Increasing collaborations with leading universities and research centers worldwide;
  • Creating a fertile environment for young researchers;
  • Hosting professors and scholars from other universities;
  • Promoting training and coaching initiatives for firms;
  • Making the local area more attractive for young talent, supporting their growth, and fostering a qualified network of skills and collaborations;
  • Promoting the dissemination and sharing of knowledge.

The Center’s initiatives focus on key thematic areas related to the entrepreneurial phenomenon, which require systemic and multidisciplinary approaches.
